  11 downloads a new image to the SIMpad using
  12 the serial port. You need to connect the SIMpad
  13 to your PC with the delivered serial crossover cable
  14 and execute
  15 .B serload
  16 with the image name as parameter.
  17 As an optional parameter, you can provide the serial port
  18 for
  19 .B serload
  20 to use, otherwise, /dev/ttyS0 is assumed as
  21 default.
  22 .B serload
  23 will ask you to reset the SIMpad to
  24 download the new image. Depending on the image, it will
  25 be burnt into the Flash or directly executed in the
  26 RAM without burning.

  28 You can update the operating system,
  29 the firmware (PBL), and the bootloader with this utility. Updating
  30 the bootloader needs two steps: 1st downloading/burning
  31 a special bootloader (the so-called alternativ bootloader),
  32 2nd downloading/burning the new bootloader.
